This is a simulated course in basic women’s health care, designed for 3rd year medical students, and midlevel practitioners in training. It includes:
- Morning Rounds, where I’ll take you with me to see and discuss patients in the hospital.
- Outpatient Clinics, where we’ll see some simulation patients with real medical problems. I’ll let you make some medical decisions and see where those decisions lead.
- Operating Room, where you’ll learn some basic surgical skills, and then watch the most crucial aspect of a variety of gynecologic procedures.
- Afternoon Lectures, where you’ll listen to brief lectures on all the important OBGYN pathophysiology you need to learn.
- OBGYN Skills Lab, where you’ll learn the many physical skills required in women’s health care.
I’ll be using graphical techniques for efficient on-screen learning so I don’t waste your time. You’ll see both traditional lectures and interactive, patient based learning scenarios. I’ve been teaching OBGYN to M3′s for 30 years, and I’m sure this will work for you. Don’t worry, I’ll be around to help.
